Well now you can be!! Have you ever said oh I would love those if they were _________.

Morgan Miller has done all of us women a huge favor, and has opened a designer shoe store that allows us to be the shoe designers!! How amazing is that!!

This is perfect for that bride that has the picture in her head of that perfect pair of shoes that she just must wear on her wedding day and cant find them anywhere...or for the bride that wants her maids to have that perfect shoe walking down the aisle and her and her maids can design them there selves!

Where you ask is such a wonderful place??? Well I will tell you! If you are in the sunshine state visit her couture store at 618 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach or visit her store online the best part of the website is it's interactive you can actually create them online and order them all with a few clicks!! Oh and if you do visit the store & design the shoe of your dreams they are made for you while you wait (or continue to shop) and brought out to you on a silver platter, all you would need is a cabana boy feeding you grapes and the big palm leaf fanning you and it would be paradise!!

I just have to tell you there are very few things I would change when it comes to my wedding...and I would have said that if you had asked me yesterday...but that was yesterday! Today I found this amazing video and if I could of had this at my wedding I would of in a heart beat! You know what I might just have to come up with an "excuse" to have an awesome party lol yeah like I need an excuse!

Not really madness, even though I did lock myself out of my house this morning while trying to get my munchkin off to school, anyways...just a fun title!

I did come across these beautiful pictures this weekend here and just had to post them for you today!!

I love, love, love this one! I love the turquoise headband, such a fun use of color, and I love that you can just barley see the matching sash in the picture but just another pop of color, and it doesn't hurt that she has a beautiful bouquet of flowers too...

This one just makes you smile, the balloons are such a surprise in the picture but so fun!

What we've been up to...

January turned out to be a very busy start to our new year!

The Couture Event Group was launched at our first Veils and Cocktails, which we had a great turn out!

Then The Grand Unveiling at Grandezza was this month as well, here are a few pics of the tables we designed to enjoy!

We also had the honor of hosting a baby shower for our bestie & mommy to be Christine.
It turned out to be a beautiful day for a "tea party for two"

We still have a pirate birthday party and a wedding still to come...Like I said busy, busy!

I actually just ordered my solmates today, can't wait to get them in!! I'm going to put a pair in the emergency kit...you know this just might be my new favorite thing to use at weddings!!

New Year brings New Brides...

And that means Bridal Events!!

For us we like the smaller scale bridal events, not the huge ones where you feel like all these people are just being herded around a huge room and it is not personal, more like hi, bye, call me!

The smaller ones you can actually talk to each bride/groom and answer all of their questions and it's not so exhausting!

So on that note a few upcoming bridal events that we will be attending and would love for you to come out and stop by and see us!

January 15th at The Club at Grandezza from 6:30 to 8:30

promises to be a lavish evening with exceptional wedding professionals in a beautiful venue!

January 22nd at Lace and Roses Bridal from 6:00 to 8:00

When it comes to Black Friday shopping!!! For my family this is sort of a new holiday tradition, when we were younger my mom and step-dad (more Chris than my mom) would wake at wee hours of the morning and do the mad dashes across the stores to get the goods for all 5 of us kids, sadly Chris passed away 3 years ago and so now us "kids" carry on this (some call crazy) tradition of getting up way to early and standing out in the cold'ish weather getting the good deals!

Only 3 of the 5 were up early last year!

A couple weeks ago we got this beautiful invitation in the mail inviting us and one of our brides to Colonial Country Club for a night out and for a good cause; Brides Against Breast Cancer.
Micheal and his team at CCC always put on a great event!

We got to see a beautiful fashion show put on by Lace & Roses Bridal,

Sample absolutely delicious chocolates from Irresistible Confections

See beautiful samplings from Susan at Signature Florals, you should have seen the bouquets that she made for the girls to carry. Gorgeous!

The beautiful & uber talented Debra Mehberg was there with her amazing invitations, by the way the beautiful invitation that we got in the mail was made by Debra! And her assistant was there doing calligraphy for our name tags!

Clean ride limos was there with there amazing new party bus it had all the bells & whistles!! Did I mention the ostrich leather seats, yes ostrich leather!! It was soooo comfortable!

I HATE driving with a passion, but it comes with the job...

Anytime I get anything out of the fridge to drink, I have to shake it, soda, milk, water...I don't know why, but that's just what I do

I was born & raised in Florida, it might not sound like much to you, but there are not to many of us around

My office is a mess & I wish someone else would clean it up, actually that is on my Christmas list :0)

I will only eat green banana's they can be a little yellow at the bottom but if they are all yellow I will not eat them! (Crazy I know!)

My hubby & I dated in HS ~ broke up, grew up, reconnected and fell in love :0) He is the best!

one of the things on my bucket list is to vacation to Egypt, but I want to get my hands dirty and dig up some ancient artifact, sounds fun right!!

Ok I know I've been a bad blogger lately, and I had all these great ideas for blogs and started a few but never finished them and now it is already the 2nd week of October and I see my last post was on the 30th of September!! Do you remember making these when you were a kid. ohhhh if my mother only knew that she was paying for my to sit in a private school and make flip books with the edges of my text books hehehe

Anyways...The girls over at The Event Essentials posted about this but the only problem is that the company that they found is in KC and I am in FL...so my search was on, of coarse it didn't take me long do to the wonderful world wide web!

Presto! Flip books in FL! Well actually is called Pic Flips and they are all over the US! The whole idea is that you stand in front of a video camera and do a lil skit...and in 2 minutes you have a flip book in your hand! How Fun would that be at a wedding or birthday party or any event?!

Real Wedding: Mary & Dana

This was a very intimate destination wedding, in total there were about 20 people that came in from Arizona and a few other states. Mary and Dana wanted their close family and friends to be there to celebrate in their beautiful union. They were so cute like 2 teenagers in love, they were such a great couple to work with. We wish them the best of luck!!

OK I had to add 1 more in, we all know how hard it can be to get the ring bearer / flower girl down the aisle, well this is Tricia trying to get the flower girl down the aisle...we all know sometimes they get stage fright...this one couldn't stop "marking her territory" for a lack of a better description...

SCAMS

I wanted to take the time today and post about different scams that are going around right now!
Please be aware, and don't let yourself get sucked into their traps!!

If you get an email that looks anything remotely like this : fred_williams005@yahoo.co.uk
more importantly the co.uk you can bet it is a scam.

The email will go something like this...
(And it is usually from a man, and we all know how many MEN plan a wedding!!)

I am planning on getting married to Ms. Sue and we need your services and need you to get a photographer well my father in-law has issued a cheque of £7000 for the wedding photographer and wedding planner and right now he his out of location and we need to be booked for the planner , well cheque will be made out to you and the balance will be for the photographer...

Anyways, the amount will be for to much and the instructions are to wire money back when you get the cashiers check...IT'S A SCAM!!! The check is bad and by the time you realize it your out $$$

Another one that I was informed about was by a photographer, She got an email from a MAN and he said he would send her cash in big bills but needed her to send him some back in smaller bills, she never gave him an address, yet she got an envelope with big bills and no info, no phone number, just an address to send the smaller bills back to, she immediately knew something was up, took it to the bank and all the bills were fake!

Goes to show you how crafty they can be! You get cash in the mail, you might be inclined to try and spend it...

If you have heard of anything or have an example yourself please let me know I will gladly post them to get the word out there so no one falls into any of these traps!

Any really people if it is sounds to good to be true, it usually is!!

Every morning I click on my fortune cookie on my desktop to find out what "my fortune" is for the day...I don't live by it, its just a fun thing I do...anyways this morning I click on my cookie and this is what is says...
What is that supposed to mean?! Usually they say the same ol'..."Wise men learn more from fools, than fools from the wise man."
But I get "tickety-boo" if anyone know what this means please fill me in!!

I woke everyone Monday morning and said get up get dressed and lets go!

Where are we going??

My mom's famous words "You'll find out when we get there" (wow I hated when she said that when we were kids!!)

Hubby figured it out before we got there but Avery had no idea until we got inside, and since I was driving (ugh I hate driving!) I didn't get any cool pics of outside, but once we got in this is what I got, unfortunately I did not get more because he was so excited, and running from one place to next I couldn't take a picture before he was off to the next creature (and by "he" I mean my hubby, kidding!)

Welcome to Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota Fl. When the cute old lady at the entrance told him that Nemo & Dory were here, it was a mad dash to find them and he wasn't happy till he did!

The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island Father and son went on to complete the race together.

Real Wedding

I have been a bad blogger!! I have been slacking, but the last couple of weeks have been very busy!
SO on with the show...
This is the real wedding of Brandi & Steven, this wedding was full of surprises!!!!

I LOVE this couple, they were so great to work with and their wedding was amazing!
They wanted to surprise each other sooooo...Steven sent a cd with Brandy's song, along with the lyrics and had everyone sing it to her at the reception (awwwwww I know so super cute!!)
She in turn surprised him with a fireworks display! (awwwww I know!!!)
I had to get in on this game...so I surprised them with a dinner for 2, very romantic and I think I even overheard Brandi saying that was one of the best parts of the whole day!! (awwwww I KNOWWW!!!)

They even surprised their guests with Elvis & a caricature artist...I could go on and on!!
It was a perfect day, and I am so happy for them!

I am sooooo In LOVE with Oscar de la Renta's Spring 2009 wedding dress line!!!!

They are all so amazingly beautiful! I would get married again just so I could wear just one!! (I probably couldn't afford the rest of the wedding but at least I would have this amazing gown!)

I just love the look of this whole line it is so soft and feminine and I don't understand why these models look so grouchy? If I was in one of these I would be skipping down the runway with a HUGE smile on my face! :0)

Pool Decor

I know for some of the readers on this blog you are thinking why is she writing about pool's, I still have snow in the yard! But I live in SWFL and its hot down here and so that's why :0)

I have a wedding next weekend for the lovely Crystal and Jon super cute couple and her mom (which is super cute too) is having the rehearsal dinner at her house and they have a beautiful pool (& fountain) with a wonderfully landscaped area and she wants to decorate the pool so without further ado here is some fun pool decor!!

DIY Hanging Votive Holders

Here are some instructions for making your own hanging votive holders, which should take less than 5 minutes per votive.

Materials:

Votive Holders (that open as they go upward - straight cylinders won't work);
Floral Tape;
Fine Wire;
Wire Cutters (or heavy scissors).

Directions:

1. Wrap your floral tape (or masking tape, although you'll probably have to sacrifice that votive holder) around the top of the votive holder. This is CRUCIAL for a happy votive-making experience - Â it helps keep the wire in place as you wrap it.

2. Wrap the wire around the top of the votive a few times, then bend each end backwards so it stays in place. Note that once you are finished, you coil will sit lower on the votive than here, so keep that in mind when you are wrapping. Cut the wire from the spool, and slide the coil off of the votive holder.

3. Wrap the ends of the wire back around the coil to keep the coil from springing apart.Â
4. Attach the handle by simply wrapping the ends of a length of wire around opposite sides of the coil.

The finished hanging votive holder - after all my past attempts, doing it this way was surprisingly quick and easy.

Can I tell you that I have an obsession with gift wrap, you know when the kids come around right before Thanksgiving fundraising for their schools and they give you this catalog of ridiculous priced crap and then you turn to the last page and it is filled with the most beautiful foiled wrapping paper, for me it is like a moth to the flame it just draws me in! I have rolls upon rolls of wrapping paper, some never used and when my husband sees another walk in the door he gives me that look (you know what I am talking about) like I just brought home another pair of shoes or something...

So if I am not the last one to know about these great products than please join me in drooling over this!!

I was over at Life Design and she posted about this and I thought I would help her spread the word.

The Princess Program is a program of Hope & A Future Inc., a public nonprofit organization whose mission is to “provide hope for the future” to youth who have been abused and neglected.

Who doesnt love feeling like a princess even if for a night??

The Princess Program provides teenage girls who reside in foster care a night to SHINE by hosting a formal ball! We are dedicated to creating positive memories for these special young women. Each foster child who attends will receive a formal dress, shoes, make-up, jewelry, duffel bag, wrist corsage and a tiara. They are pampered by make-up artists and hair dressers. After an elegant dinner, a dance instructor will teach the girls several different dances. All of the night’s memories will be captured by our professional photographers and each girl will receive a personalized photo album.

Can you remember when gas was .99 a gallon how about when milk was only $2.00, you know I pay almost $5.00 for a gallon of milk!! How about when you could get a stamp for .25?
well guess what stamps are going up again! May 12th stamps will cost .42
I had not heard about this until I was reading a post at Somthing Old Somthing New and then confirmed it on the United States Postal website.
